The AT90USB162-16AU Is a high performance, low power 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller combining 16 kb ISP flash memory with read-when-write capability, EEPROM 512B, 22 general purpose I / O lines, 32 working registers for general use, two flexible timers / counters with comparison and PWM modes, USART, programmable watchdog timer with internal oscillator, SPI serial port, debugWIRE interface for debug and on-chip programming, and five software-selectable power saving modes. The device operates between 2.7 and 5.5 V. By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the device achieves a throughput approaching 1 MIPS per MHz, balancing power consumption and processing speed.
